Payment through the OBU Myto CZ toll machine
There are two main ways to pay tolls in the Czech Republic: Pre-Paid and Post-Paid.
For Pre-Paid payment, you can pay at any of the more than 210 points of sale using a bank card or a fuel card.
You can also use the MYTO VZ.EU mobile application available on Android or you can access the “Customer Zone” section on the system operator’s website and pay with a bank card.
Alternatively, you can make a bank transfer to the account of the open system operator at the Czech National Bank. It is important to note that in order to issue a Myto CZ OBU electronic device, it is necessary to load the account with at least 1,000 CZK (200 lei).
If you drive frequently in the Czech Republic, the recommended option is Post-Paid payment (subsequent payment). This method of payment is carried out by means of a fuel card.
Both payment methods offer flexibility and convenience, and choosing between them depends on your preferences and needs.
How do I get the Myto CZ device?
MYTO CZ equipment is available free of charge and can be obtained by paying a guarantee to the operator of the Czech road toll system in the amount of approximately 2,468 CZK (100 euros) per OBU device.
To get the MYTO CZ gear, you can enter here.
How do I install the Myto CZ device?
The Myto CZ OBU must be mounted in a specific position on the inside of the vehicle’s windshield. It is recommended to be located in the lower area between the steering column and the central part of the windshield, so that it is not covered by wipers or other objects, and the driver’s field of vision is not affected.
It is not allowed to place the equipment in the areas of the storage compartments or moving elements, such as the area of the airbag covers.
The electronic equipment is fixed to the windshield with the help of suction cups that are attached to the removable part of the Myto CZ equipment housing.
To provide power to the electronic equipment, it must be connected to the vehicle’s power source via a cable that connects to the cigarette lighter socket or another socket with the same mechanical specification.
