Where do I need the vignette Slovenia?

If you are going to travel the route that includes motorways and expressways in Slovenia, you will need to get a vignette Slovenia. These vignettes are administered by the Dars company, which generally performs the checks, but the authorities can also intervene in this regard.

However, there are three exceptions where you do not need a vignette Slovenia:

  1. Koper expressway (H6);
  2. Maribor expressway (H2);
  3. Gorenjska highway (A2).

On these road sectors, you will not need to pay tolls Slovenia.

As of February 2023, it is no longer possible to purchase a Slovenia vignette in the form of a windshield sticker for vehicles with a maximum weight of up to 3.5 tonnes from brick-and-mortar locations. Instead, you can opt for an e-vignette Slovenien.
